Sometime I really don't understand God's plan. I just don't. But that's where faith comes in. Faith that even in the peak of misery, he sees and--more importantly--understands all.
My dear friend from high school has gone back to his Heavenly Father and while I find myself sobbing, I'm starting to feel a sense of peace.
Greg was truly an amazing guy. Fully accepting of people and all they brought to the table--trials and all. How poignant it is that he passed on the day we celebrate Christ's Resurrection. He passed on the reunion of the most miraculous day of all eternity--the day Christ rose from death.
I don't think Hell is as much "fire and brimstone" as it is just pure loneliness. I think we feel a part of it every time someone close to us leaves this earth. How grateful I am for Christ and the Atonement, and the fact that I know that there is life after death. I know that we are God's children, and because of that he loves us all, infinitely. I know I can be with my family and loved ones forever. I know I'll see Greg again.
Greg is okay. He's up doing what Greg does. He is working his butt off to help others feel love and acceptance.
I miss you, Greg.
